In 2020, our team here at Rutter and Sleeth Law Offices was proud to participate in the CARE program, which helps at-risk youth gain real-world work experience.
In today's blog, we'd like to chat a bit about the CARE program, its purpose, and express our gratitude to CARE trainee Evan Groman for working with our team over the summer.
What Is the CARE Program?
The City of Columbia runs the Career Awareness Related Experience (CARE) program to help Columbia's youth increase their readiness to enter the workplace.
The program pairs participating businesses with at-risk 14-20-year-olds who live in Columbia, helping them gain real-world, hands-on work experience. CARE program participants are compensated for their work and receive the following perks from participating businesses:
- Job readiness training
- Mentoring
- Soft skill development
- Career exploration
Rutter and Sleeth Law Offices Welcome CARE Trainee Evan Groman
This year, our team at Rutter and Sleeth Law Offices welcomed CARE trainee Evan Groman. Evan, who is preparing for his Freshman year at Columbia Independent School this year, was with our team for six weeks.
We couldn't be happier to have helped Evan on his journey as he moves towards highschool, and want to think him for the wonderful job he did here with our team. We sent him off with a lunch, gift basket, and Amazon card. We wish Evan all the success in the world moving forward!
At Rutter and Sleeth Law Offices, we help Columbia residents tackle complex legal cases.
